Douglas Gin, a CU Boulder professor of chemistry, passed away on July 5 in a car accident. He was 58.

Doug's funeral will be held on Friday, July 26 at 9:30 am at Carroll Lewellen Funeral Home located at 503 Terry St, Longmont CO. The graveside service which follows will be at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Hwy 287, Longmont CO. A simple reception will then be held back at the funeral home.Ìý Visitation is on Thursday, July 25 at the funeral home from 4-7 pm.

Hari Rajaram, a beloved former faculty member in CU Boulder’s Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (CEAE), died unexpectedly on July 4 at his home in Baltimore. He was 59 years old.

Rajaram was globally recognized as a prominent figure in the field of environmental and Earth systems, known for his innovative use of mathematical models to understand and predict complex environmental phenomena. He was also a world-renowned expert in hydrology.

He served as a CEAE professor from 1993 to 2012. He joined Johns Hopkins University in 2018. His funeral was held July 10 outside Baltimore.
