The CU Boulder Natural Hazards Center will host a focused on the research needs of the community and proposed research in response to the Boulder County fires. Participants from all disciplines are welcome, and will have the opportunity to:Ìý
Learn from emergency management and long-term recovery officials about research needs and available data and resources.Ìý
Hear from researchers who have already launched or are planning to initiate research focused on theÌýfires.Ìý
Identify possibilities for ethical and effective cross-disciplinary coordination and collaboration.
In response to the Marshall Fire disaster, the chancellor has authorized up to 160 hours of emergency administrative leave for employees. For details on emergency leave and criteria for faculty, staff and students, visitÌýLeave Options in Event of Natural Disaster or Local Emergency.
In response to the Marshall Fire, experts from the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program and Office of Victim Assistance addressed how to take care of oneself and others; trauma response and coping mechanisms; and resources at CU Boulder and in the community.Ìý
