Alireza Doostan, John Evans and Ken Jansen of Smead Aerospace (AmREC) and Stephen Becker of applied math received a three-year award for $881,000 from the Department of Energy for 鈥淪calable Data Reduction Techniques for Extreme-Scale Unstructured PDE Simulations.鈥�

Amy Javernick-Will, Shideh Dashti and Abbie Liel of civil, environmental and architectural engineering and Evan Thomas and Karl Linden from CEAE and the Mortenson Center received a three-year award for $910,200 from the Department of Education (Graduate Assistantships in Areas of National Need) for 鈥淩esilient and Equitable Infrastructure through Inclusive Engineering.鈥�

Michael McGehee of chemical and biological engineering received a four-year award for $645,700 from the Department of Energy for 鈥淪tudying Perovskite Solar Cells in Reverse Bias to Accelerate and Investigate Degradation Due to Electrochemistry and Halogen Migration.鈥�

Yida Zhang of civil, environmental and architectural engineering received a four-year award for $586,000 from the National Science Foundation for 鈥淐ollaborative Research: Multiscale Mechanics of Adsorption-deformation Coupling in Soft Nanoporous Materials.鈥�
