This planning guide is designed for Undergraduate Students in the College of Engineering & Applied Science. Follow the steps below throughout your academic career to stay on track and graduate with your baccalaureate degree!

  • Continuing Education courses not completed on time.
  • Incomplete grades from past semesters not completed by the deadline.
  • Failed required course(s) in last term.
  • Did not earn the minimum passing grade for a terminal course(s).
  • Major or cumulative GPA below the minimum requirement.
  • Did not take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (if required by your major).
  • Did not meet the College’s minimum credit hour requirement.
  • Did not meet the College’s residency requirement.

  • Complete MAPS requirements, if necessary.
  • Begin working on math, science, computer programming, introduction to engineering and/or projects classes, and/or HSS electives.
  • Complete the Engineering First-Year Symposium class.
  • Engineering Open Option students should be planning to declare a major by March, before registering for Fall Sophomore courses.
  • Connect with your Academic Advisor prior to making any schedule changes.
