CEAS Academic Coaching is intended to help youÌýdevelop yourÌýstrengths and determine what it takes to be a successful studentÌýat CU Boulder.
Academic coachingÌýis a seriesÌýof one-on-one meetings for undergraduate Engineering studentsÌýwith a professional Academic Coach. Coaching sessions encourage you toÌýexpand your self-awareness,Ìýdiscover and developÌýacademic skills and habits, and createÌýwell-designed action plans to embrace your potential with confidence.ÌýAcademic Coaches are dedicated to supporting yourÌýacademic, personal, and career success.
Coaching meetings typically focus on exploration of strengths, challenges, habits, skills, values, and mindsets.
This free service is available to all Engineering undergrads.Ìý

IMPORTANT:ÌýIn-person and virtual appointments are available. You will make an appointment via Buff Portal Advising and receive further instructions by email or text after scheduling.
Please fill out if you do not find an assigned coach in Buff Portal Advising. The form will ask you questions to route you to the best coaching option to schedule your appointment.
This is determined by the student and the coach, and is typically four or more sessions.ÌýCoaching meetingsÌýoccur on a consistent basis throughout the semester. Intake meetings last 60 minutes; follow-up sessions are 45-minutes each.
No. Coaching is a holistic exploration of your personal learning journey across your course schedule.ÌýStudents often engage inÌýtutoring and coaching simultaneously as coaches can help students understand how to study more effectively.
No. You will continue to meet with your academic advisor to discuss advising topics, such asÌýspecific classes students need to take to progress towards graduation.
