Madison is a junior majoring in Elementary Education, with a minor in Leadership Studies. She joined the School of Education Student Government to engage directly with other like-minded students, be an exponent for change, with the hope of expanding resources for students and building a stronger community among prospective teachers within the School of Education. Madison is working towards becoming an elementary school teacher, learning and gaining experience along her journey, with the goal of becoming a principal, where she can contribute in a much more robust role to building a family within a school, and creating an environment where learning is diverse and ever changing. Madison is passionate about creating safe environments in schools, where students don’t have to learn in fear, and where educators don’t have to teach in fear, and she hopes that with her journey to becoming a teacher, she can contribute in even the smallest of ways to making a difference in classrooms. When she’s not at school, Madison loves to travel, listen to country music, watch sunsets, and hang out with friends and family. She is very eager to get started this fall in continuing to expand the Education Community and be an advocate for change for both teaching and learning.
