Presentations and Workshops
Disability Services organizes presentations and workshops for students, staff and faculty throughout the year. Our presentations cover a variety of essential topics, such as the process of registering for accommodations, effective communication about disabilities and strategies for developing and refining both academic and personal skills. To attend, please complete the registration form provided under each event listing.
If you would like Disability Services to deliver a specific presentation to your unit, department or program, please fill out the presentation request form below. Please note that this form is not used for tabling events, resource fairs, etc. If you would like to invite Disability Services to these events, please contact dsprograms@colorado.edu directly.

Student Transition from High School to College
When transitioning from high school to college, students experience many changes— including becoming their own advocate. Join this presentation to learn some differences between high school and college, including the difference in laws, expectations and responsibilities related to your accommodations.

Workforce Recruitment Program
The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP), coordinated by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Defense, connects federal and select private-sector employers with highly motivated college students, graduate students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to demonstrate their abilities in the workplace through internships or permanent jobs. Academic Coaching Workshop: Reading Techniques
Do you want to improve your reading comprehension? Do you spend hours reading and then struggle to recall the details later? Join this workshop focused on reading strategies and techniques to improve reading comprehension.

ASD Community Workshop
This workshop is for students on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) who want to connect with a supportive community. We’ll discuss navigating college life, building relationships, communicating with faculty, self-advocacy and more. We aim to create space for students on the spectrum to come together to strengthen community and build skills. Formal diagnoses are not required to participate in this workshop.
