We are a multidisciplinary community of scholars, educators, and students dedicated to the study of the rich and complex relationship between media and religion in an entangled world. At the core of our gathering is a deep belief in the nurturing capacity of reading and writing together and of the act of studying in the spirit of the collective.
We seek to open up new and creative spaces of reflection, critique, and collaboration. Our conferences, seminars, research projects, and public outreach are carefully designed to generate an intellectual and social energy that transcends our academic habits of analysis and assembly. Our Center insists not only on the force of scholarship, but also on the liberatory potential of research as a common practice rooted in a decolonial ethos of equitable curation and radical encounter.
