Jordan Ardoin received their B.A. in English from the University of West Florida in 2017 and their B.A. in Classics from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2024. In the interim between their degrees, they worked as a K-12 substitute teacher in their home state of Florida. Jordan is most interested in Greek poetry, particularly from the Archaic and Classical periods – Homer and Euripides are their favorite authors to read. In their research, Jordan likes to study ancient modes of thinking about and depicting relationships between humans and animals, gender expression, and sexuality, and especially the areas where gender relations and human-animal relations intersect.
