Graduate student support

The King-Hill award was established to commemorate the work of Joy King, professor emerita and former chair of our department, and Barbara Hill, who for many years served as Latin program coordinator. This award is given to support a student pursing an MA degree in the Teaching of Latin.

Archaeological fieldwork

BračIsland Project

This project, beginning in the summer of 2021,is a long-term collaboration with the University of Split that focuses on the island of Brač in southern Croatia (Dalmatia). The Brač Island Project will explore the archaeology of the island’s coastal regions from ca. 1000 BC-600 AD through both excavation and field survey.
