Professor Hodkinson examines far-right appropriations of Sparta since Zack听Snyder's 300 (2006), looking at their political and intellectual roots since听the American and French revolutions. He then briefly argues against听militaristic interpretations of Spartan society and concludes by asking how听we can best challenge these popular misconceptions.
