Jessica Bertram (she/her) is a movement artist driven by storytelling, research, and ultimately, play.ÌýÌýAÌýnative ofÌýHuntsville, Alabama, she began dancing at the age of 3 at the North Alabama DanceÌýCenter. She continued herÌýtraining at Emory University and graduated in 2017 with a BA inÌýDance & Movement Studies and a BS in AnthropologyÌý& Human Biology. HerÌýchoreographicÌýand solo work has been performed and awarded at the American College Dance Association, EmoryÌýUniversity, 7Stages Theatre, Idea Capital, Hambidge Art Lab, Dance Canvas, The Movement Lab~ Home of T. LangÌýDance, ÌýAtlanta Dance Collective’s FEMMEfest, and theÌýstaibdanceÌýSummer Intensive in Sorrento, Italy.ÌýDedicated to her passion for the arts, Jessica has worked with non-profit organizations, the National Black ArtsÌýFestival (NBAF) as their Assistant Director of the Move/Dance! Program and Moving in the Spirit, Inc. as a teachingÌýartist specializing in creative youth development.Ìý
