Program Management

DoD and IC focused Programmatic Support through NSI

Provide non-technical programmatic support with Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) Sponsors.

We engage and work closely with all University stakeholders (PI, OCG, CCO, Export Control, the Preserve, etc…), Industry Partners, Government Sponsors to ensure programmatic success.

NSI Programmatic Support Offers:

  • Proposal and award strategy; important if competitive proposal
  • Execution strategy
  • Clarification of roles and responsibilities and relevant objectives and expectations
  • Full understanding of award obligations, deliverables, and expectations
  • Kick-off meeting to ensure the award is fully understood by stakeholders (technical objectives, budget, milestones/deliverables, schedule, responsibilities, etc..)
  • Comprehensive assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and mitigation of:
    • Stakeholders
    • Communications
    • Schedule
    • Budget and Resources
    • Subcontracts
    • Risks
    • Compliance
    • Procurement
    • Milestones and Deliverables
    • Follow-on/Additional work strategy
  • Deliverables – all deliverables are provided to Sponsor
  • Meetings and communications – attend relative meetings, capture action items, communicate when appropriate with the Sponsor
  • Invoices – ensure all are issued and paid, including for subcontract awards
  • Close-out meeting with primary stakeholders to ensure all actions required are taken and outstanding issues addressed

 

The NSI team supports faculty in areas of particular campus research strength relevant to national security, offering services in both pre-award and post-award phases of research projects.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, export control and CUI regulations
  • Facilitate restricted research approval and compliance
  • Facilitate compliance with physical and cybersecurity requirements

Contracting

  • Advise on contract strategy/type
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage FAR-based contracts and related non-monetary agreements
  • Serve as signature authority for National Security contracts
