Erin Overturf first joined WRA in 2013. Previously, she served as an Assistant Solicitor General in the Office of the Colorado Attorney General. In that capacity, she represented state agencies such as the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division, and the Colorado Energy Office. She also served as a clerk to Justice Alex Martinez of the Colorado Supreme Court.
After a stint at Earthjustice where she served as Managing Attorney of the Clean Energy Program, Erin returned to WRA in 2023. Erin oversees the work of WRA’s Clean Energy Program. She leads a team of engineers, attorneys, and policy experts working across the Interior West to decarbonize the power sector, electrify end uses that are today powered by fossil fuels—like transportation and home heating—and expand regional electricity markets. Erin and her team represent WRA in utility regulatory proceedings, air quality proceedings, state legislatures, and civil litigation.
Erin holds a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law, and received a B.A. in both Economics and Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
