Funded by the CU Boulder Office for听Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship, ALTEC is offering a free American Sign Language (ASL)/ Deaf Culture听crash course this summer. A collaborative effort with the , this course will provide participants with essential ASL communication skills as well as a deeper understanding of Deaf culture. The course will be led by ALTEC faculty member Pamela Macias and feature听guest speakers from the Deaf community. 听

Class schedule

Our course instructor, Pamela Macias, will host dynamic Zoom sessions twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. MST. Students will also have access to supplemental class materials for self-paced learning. We anticiapte this asynchronous work to total 2-3 hours a week.
