Mikhaila Friske is a PhDÌýstudent studying information science in the College of Media, CommunicationÌýand Information. She received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2017. Advised by Laura Devendorf, Mikhaila researches smart textiles and textile design software in the Unstable Design Lab. Mikhaila's interests includeÌýexploring the cross-section between handcraft and technology; and technologies that empower underrepresented groups.
