Tenure Review and Promotion to Associate Professor

Tenure review processes are guided largely by departmental bylaws and criteria; however, there are overarching campus policies and procedures to which all units must adhere.

It is the Boulder campus’ practice to increase the salary by $6,963 after the award of tenure, contingent upon available funds. The mandatory promotion and tenure review usually occurs in the seventh year of appointment.
