Resignation of Administrative Appointment

Process 

  • Faculty member discusses intent to resign with the department/program/center chair or director. 

    •  If faculty member is resigning from Department Chair/Director position, they will discuss their intent to resign with the Dean of Division, or Executive Director. 
  • Faculty member submits notice of resignation in a Word document to the department chair/director 

    • If faculty member is resigning from Department Chair/Director position, they will submit their notice of resignation to the Dean of Division, or Executive Director. 

  • The chair/director (or Dean of Division/Executive Director) forwards the notice of resignation document to CAS Faculty Affairs (CAS-Faculty@colorado.edu) 

  • The College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Affairs submits a form to the Department Chair/Director, Dean of Division, and the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) for signatures with a copy to the Graduate School or the Research and Innovation Office if applicable, Human Resources Service Center and Department Coordinator.
