Andrew was born and raised in rural Minnesota, just a short distance from the Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN communities where he completed his undergraduate studies. After attaining a Bachelor’s of Music in Saxophone Performance from Concordia College of Moorhead, Minnesota in 2019, he moved to Minneapolis where he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance.

While in school, Andrew spent much of his work-studies in student success and other related organizations. It was during these work-studies in combination with his interactions with teachers and mentors as a first-generation student that he found an appreciation for the people who work with college students and realized the benefit they bring to students. Once completed with his masters, Andrew moved to Colorado and began working at CU Boulder in October 2021 with the Division of Continuing Education. In July 2022, Andrew took his current position of academic advisor for the department of Economics.
