FAQs

A: There is no application process for the A&S RAP Scholarship Program. Once housing assignments are confirmed, the A&S Scholarship Coordinator will work with the RAP Program Coordinator, University Housing & Dining, and the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) to review and identify students who meet the eligibility criteria.
A: To be eligible for the A&S RAP Scholarship Program, students must meet the following criteria: 1. The student is enrolled in one of the six A&S RAPs. 2. The student has a declared major in the College of Arts & Sciences. 3. The student has completed the except students participating in the MASP.
A: CU scholarships, including the A&S RAP Scholarship are awarded through CU’s Scholarship Award System (BAM). You will receive an email notification when the award is offered to you. You must accept the award to have it disbursed to your student account. Directions on how to accept the award will be provided in the email notification.
A: This is a one-time award of $425, paid directly to the fall housing portion of your bursar bill.
A: Scholarships are posted to student accounts 10 days prior to the first day of classes.
A: Yes. Students who don’t receive an automatic A&S RAP Scholarship may appeal for an award by submitting a written request to the A&S Scholarship Office. Contact Claire.figel@colorado.edu for more information. Note: funds are limited, awards will continue until the available annual scholarship budget is depleted for the academic year. The deadline to appeal is September 30.
A: If a student who receives an A&S RAP Scholarship considers withdrawing from CU Boulder, they should contact the Office of Financial Aid for help in determining the financial impact of withdrawing. The A&S RAP scholarship is valid as long as the recipient remains eligible per the criteria stated above. If you leave the RAP, your scholarship will be withdrawn and removed from your account.
