Scene at CU
- It was all selfies and smiles at the Colorado Capitol Friday when Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders made an appearance. Coach Prime joined members of the Black Caucus for breakfast and conversation before being recognized in the Senate Chambers.
- The Boulder County community, including several CU Boulder affiliates, came together to enjoy an MLK Day tribute through song, poetry and community recognition.
- Just before midnight on Saturday night at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, more than a dozen football fans joined news crews waiting for the arrival of the next era for University of Colorado Buffaloes football. Later at a press conference, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders was welcomed by many more.
- The second annual Culture Crawl celebrated campus heritage sites and groups with activities, performances, an outdoor photobooth, games, shows and more at museums, community hubs, libraries and other cultural hotspots across campus.
- With maybe some jitters and a whole lot of excitement, CU’s newest Buffs moved into campus residence halls. On hand were numerous family members and campus volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and support the new class, helping them get off to a great start.
- Chancellor Philip DiStefano and other CU Boulder representatives joined city of Boulder leaders for an event celebrating upcoming partnerships and to share details about the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit.
- The jubilant BolderBoulder 10K race returned to Folsom Field on May 30. Part fun fest, part professional race and part Memorial Day tribute, the event included thousands of participants and onlookers.
- Strategic Resources and Support employees connected this week at The Connection. Celebrating the team's strength, resilience and dedication, colleagues and leadership enjoyed bowling, billiards, video games and more.
- There was no shortage of glee, pride and nostalgia as thousands of people gathered to celebrate the CU Boulder Class of 2022. The commencement ceremony included the traditional procession from Norlin Quad, a variety of speakers and recognitions, and beaming graduates and families.
- On May 3, members of the U.S. House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and Colorado congressional delegation joined leaders and scientists from CU Boulder to showcase university research and federal partnerships.
