- David Bolen, the University of Colorado's first Olympian who went on to have amazing career of accomplishments outside of the sports arena, passed away in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Dec. 10; he was two weeks shy of his 99th birthday.
- With the CU men's basketball team, and in his 13th year in Boulder, Tad Boyle recently reached his 262nd win, surpassing the 261 wins of legendary Buffs coach Sox Walseth. This makes Boyle the winningest coach in CU men's basketball history.
- Just before midnight on Saturday night at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, more than a dozen football fans joined news crews waiting for the arrival of the next era for University of Colorado Buffaloes football. Later at a press conference, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders was welcomed by many more.
- Meegan Hart and Lexi Hadrych were both honored with 2022 Pac-12 Women's Volleyball year-end accolades. Hart was selected as an All-Pac-12 team member, and Hadrych earned an honorable mention.
- For the 21st time in Colorado volleyball history, the Buffs have advanced to the NCAA Tournament. CU will head to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, to play fifth-seed No. 20 Rice University in the first round.
- LeRoy is CU’s 18th head ski coach, replacing Richard Rokos after more than three decades with the Buffs. The former Olympian discusses leading CU’s only coed athletic team, what inspired him to coach and ways to generate revenue for collegiate skiing.
- The men's basketball team will welcome the Nebraska Cornhuskers for a special exhibition game, with proceeds going to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. Time is running out to get your tickets!

- Head football coach Karl Dorrell has been relieved of his duties with the program.
- The Colorado volleyball team earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2021–22 season for the third time in the program's 30-year history, successfully maintaining above a 3.30 GPA for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters.
