- Russell Moore and Kelly Fox today announced they are accepting the recommendations of the Academic Futures-Financial Futures Online Strategy Working Group to create a single coherent online and distance organization to serve the campus.
- Academic Futures recommended a comprehensive approach to teaching with technology and reimagining online and distance education as one of four lead projects.
- Interdisciplinary teaching, research and creative work have long been expressed values of the faculty, strong desires of generations of students and exciting challenges to staff.

- Later this month, the university will announce the structure of its Center for Teaching and Learning, which will be a combined resource for all who have a teaching role on campus.
