Together, they are sequencing transcriptomes from the styles of self-compatible and self-incompatible individuals of <em>Physalis acutifolia</em> to identify the genetic mechanisms responsible for its polymorphic breeding system. &nbsp;This gave us the opportunity to tour the amazing germplasm collection, much of it stored in a giant multi-story cold room.
