INVS4919: Teaching Social JusticeÌýis aÌýcourse designed for students who have completed two semesters of Public Achievment at CU Boulder through the EDUC2919 course.Ìý INVS4919 is comprised of studentsÌýwho areÌýaccepted into a cohort of Teaching Assistants andÌýcontinue to lead in the Public Achievment program and course.Ìý StudentsÌýfurther explore the role that education and youthÌýplay in addressing social justice issues.Ìý INVS4919Ìýstudents investigate progressive pedagogical and community organizing strategies to encourage higher levels of criticalÌýanalysis and creativity among their CU peers and k-12 students. ÌýThe "Teaching Social Justice" course is partÌýofÌýCU's Public Achievement program trajectory;ÌýINVS4919Ìýstudents serve as mentors to EDUCÌý2919 students,ÌýadvanceÌýthe mission of Public Achievement, andÌýensure the quality of culturally relevant civic engagement on campus and in our partner schools.Ìý If you are interested in joining our 2021-22 cohort of Teaching Assistants for Fall 2021 please contact Soraya.Latiff@colorado.edu for an application.Ìý We will begin interviewing to form our cohort in February 2021!Ìý ÌýÌýÌý
