Public Achievement students to host trail cleanup prior to city's residential program

It's spring cleanup season once again in Lafayette, and this year residents will have a couple of options to help beautify the city.

On Wednesday, April 23, Centaurus High School students will host a trail cleanup program on portions of the Coal Creek Trail impacted by the September flood. The work day will be from 9 a.m. to noon and will be led by members of the Centaurus student body who have the morning off from classes. The effort will focus on a section of trail between Empire Road and U.S. 287. Members of the public are invited to attend and are asked to bring their own work gloves. Work begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the trailhead on Elysian Field Drive in Lafayette, south of Centaurus.Ìý
