CU Psychology and Neuroscience Professor and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Arts & Sciences Theresa Hernández (Behavioral Neuroscience) was in the news, being interviewed for an article in Colorado Arts and Sciences Magazine about her research into an alternative treatment for people who have suffered concussions or TBI (traumatic brain injury). The particular treatment, acupressure, has been shown to reduce stress and have a positive impact on the lives of people who have suffered TBI. Additionally, Professor Hernández and her lab have built a website to make their materials for individualized training and treatment available to the world. Professor Hernández will be speaking about this in San Franciso tonight as part of the CU Next outreach program. Read the A&S Magazine article.
