CU Psychology and Neuroscience graduate student Rachel Thayer (Clinical) and her mentor Professor Kent Hutchison (Behavioral Neuroscience and Clinical) were in the news, with an article about their research appearing in both Medical News Today ²¹²Ô»åÌýColorado Arts and Sciences Magazine. The research examined the brains of over 1,000 participants for changes in brain structures due to alcohol versus cannabinoid usage. Their results indicated that cannabis seems to have little negative impact on brain structures vs. alcohol use, which has long been known to have negative impacts.
