CU Psychology and Neuroscience graduate student聽Jane Barker听(Cognitive) and her mentor Professor聽Yuko Munakata (Cognitive) were in the news, with some of their recent research getting mentioned in a press release on the Association for Psychological Science听(APS) website, as well as a mention on the blog Scienceblog. The research, published in聽Psychological Science,聽examined young children's impulse control and tested which was more important: imposing a delay before a decision was to be made and/or being reminded that they should wait before responding.
