CU Psychology and Neuroscience graduate student Rachel Thayer (Clinical, mentored by Kent Hutchison) received an R36 grant from NIDA. This is a competitive award for up to $50,000 per year for dissertation research. The award will be used to collect structural MRI and cognitive assessments within a mixed sample of older adult chronic marijuana users and age-matched non-users in order to report basic associations between chronic marijuana use and brain structure, as well as correlations between brain structure and cognitive function.
