Brianne Cohen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art & Art History at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, where she teaches contemporary art history and visual culture. She is co-editor of the bookÌýThe Photofilmic: Entangled Images in Contemporary Art and Visual CultureÌý(Leuven University Press and Cornell University Press, 2016), arising from a 3-year interdisciplinary research project at the Université Catholique de Louvain and Lieven Gevaert Centre in Belgium. Her research focuses on art in the political-public sphere in 21st-century Europe and Southeast Asia, with her current project delving into ecological violence, collective affect, and the creative documentation of changing landscapes in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Singapore.
