In late October, the CU Boulder Racing Team travelled to Wisconsin to compete in the TireRack.com ChampCar Endurance Series Frozen Rotors Winter Classic at Road America. CUBRT – Road America gives viewers an inside look at one of the most popular road racing series in North America through the eyes of one of only six student teams in the nation. Having never raced at Road America, the team is at a disadvantage upon arrival early Friday morning and must learn quickly if they want a chance at a podium. Following a successful day of car preparation and testing, the team finished fifth in class after eight hours of racing. After discovering an issue with the tune post-race, the team had high hopes for Sunday, until a late race incident put them out of contention.
