OPA offers a quarterly orientation for new postdocs, introducing them to campus resources to support their career development as well as opportunities for social networking including the Postdoctoral Association of Colorado Boulder (PAC Boulder). Professional Development Training

OPA, in partnership with other campus units, offers multiple trainings, workshops and other professional development opportunities each semester. View a list of upcoming workshops here. All events are announced in OPA's monthly newsletter, the Doc Report.

New Employee Training

CU Boulder requires all new faculty and staff, including postdocs, to complete the online New Employee Orientation, Information Security & Privacy Awareness, and Discrimination and Harassment training through MyCUInfo within 31 days of hire. Responsible Conduct of Research

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training is required for all postdocs paid from a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant and for postdocs supported by select National Institutes of Health (NIH) awards (institutional training grants, educational grants and research career development awards). RCR training is recommended for all postdocs who do not fall into the aforementioned categories.

Conflicts of Interest

Postdoctoral Associates and Postdoctoral Fellows are required to submit aÌýDisclosure of External Professional Activities (DEPA) annually if they are responsible for the design, conduct or reporting of research. All Research Associates are required to fill submit a DEPA annually.
