Undergraduate Opportunities

The requirements for undergraduates who are seeking a research experience in the lab are:

  • Minimum one year commitment
  • Minimum 8 hr/week time commitment
  • No prior experience required

We are currently looking for undergraduate research assistants for two projects:

  • The Effects of Fatigue and Stress on Eye Movements (Contact: Daniel Apuan)
  • The Effect of Perceived Effort and Reward on Movement Speed (Contact: Robbie Courter)
  • Updating of a Wii Balance Board for Use in Postural Assessment (Contact: Alaa Ahmed)

If you are interested in being funded as an undergraduate assistant, current opportunities include the Undergradate Research Opportunity Grant and the Â鶹ÊÓƵy Learning Apprenticeship through the College of Engineering. Please mention your interest in either of these programs on the interest form should you choose to apply.

Graduate Opportunities

MS and PhD opportunities for outstanding students are available. Funding opportunities are available in the form of teaching and research assistantships. Ideal applicants should have a degree in biomedical/mechanical engineering, kinesiology, neuroscience, or a related discipline. Research experience in motion analysis, force-plates, EMG, and statistical analysis software is desirable. Candidates with programming experience (Matlab or Python) are encouraged to apply.
