We’re looking forward to Singaporean pianist Margaret Leng Tan’s residency at the College of Music next week, including afeaturing the last completed composition by George Crumb (1929-2022),Metamorphoses, Book II.Celebrated paintings by such artists as Chagall, Klee, Picasso, van Gogh, O’Keeffe and Wyeth inspired each of the work’s 10 movements. Associate Professor of Music Theory Steven Bruns will introduce the performance and highlight the significance of Crumb’s long association with our College of Music.
