New for the Spring 2016 semester, the College of Music Technology Committee is pleased to begin offering Tech Talks, a series of workshops on topics of interest to College of Music faculty, students and staff.

The College of Music鈥檚 resident chamber ensemble, the Tak谩cs Quartet, has been nominated for its fifth Grammy award in the category of Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance.

CU Boulder鈥檚 quartet-in-residence, the Tak谩cs Quartet, capped off the Fall 2015 semester in style, premiering a piece by up-and-coming composer Timo Andres in two famous East Coast concert halls.

A Boulder holiday tradition returns to Macky Auditorium for its 37th year this weekend. The College of Music Holiday Festival is Dec. 4-6.

It'll be an evening of firsts, as new violin faculty Harumi Rhodes and pianist David Korevaar take the Grusin stage for Faculty Tuesdays on Dec. 1.

When Boulder audiences hear the name David Korevaar, they probably think of classical piano, Bach and Hindemith鈥攏ot concepts like 鈥減hysical theater,鈥� 鈥渢echno pop鈥� and 鈥渁rt punk.鈥�

The search for the 鈥渨hy鈥� in a handful of Schubert Lieder is picking up steam for Jordan Pyle and Kris Shaffer.

Folk music will fill Grusin Music Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 17, for the Faculty Tuesday series with David Requiro and Margaret McDonald.
