Creating educational videos with Manim
Project title:Creating educational videos with Manim
Project description:We will work together to learn about Manim, the Python package developed by Grant Sanderson for his YouTube channel 3Blue1Brown, and then use it to create engaging videos on mathematical topics. These videos can be about any math topics that participants find interesting. We will devote substantial consideration not just to the technical aspects of creating videos, but also to the clear and compelling exposition of mathematical ideas. By the end of the semester each student will have created at least one video.
Some experience with programming would be helpful, but anyone with an interest in exposition of mathematical ideas through visual media should apply.
Number of undergraduate students:4-6
Commitment:5 hours/week for pay or course credit
Due date:January 21, 2025
