All students living in the residence halls are required to hold a meal plan. These plans include a set number of meal swipes per week (students may choose between 15 and 19) plus a balance of Munch Money. Meal swipes are good at any campus dining center and grab-and-go location as well as some restaurants. These meal plans are being built into the residence hall cost of living rates, and the cost is the same for each plan. Meal plans include meals for both types of housing contract - Academic Year and Break Housing. Meals are served during fall and spring semesters but are not served during fall, winter or spring breaks.Ìý

Students will choose their meal plan in the housing application.ÌýMeal plans can be changed without penalty according to the dates below by emailing sa-billing@colorado.edu (changes can be made outside of these dates with a $50 fee):

  • Fall semester: Start of term until Sept. 20, 2023
  • Spring semester: Start of term until Feb. 12, 2024

Tuition and fees are just one part of the overall cost to attend CU Boulder.
