Martin C. Babicz teaches history with Libby RAP, Sewall RAP, the Communication RAP, and the CU History Department. After working as a lobbyist for fifteen years, he returned to graduate school and received his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado. His dissertation explored the intersection of colonial politics and imperial policy during the Stamp Act crisis. Babicz teaches several history classes at CU, including America through Baseball, which has become his signature class in the RAP programs. Babicz is the author of a chapter exploring the historiography of sports and pastimes of the 1920s in A Companion to Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, and Herbert Hoover (2014). Currently, Babicz is writing a textbook for college America through Baseball courses for Rowman & Littlefield Publishers. Before returning to academia, Marty wrote 鈥淧itching鈥檚 Triple Crown: The Sign of a Real Good鈥檜n,鈥 an article that first defined the Triple Crown of Pitching, which was published in the Baseball Research Journal.
