Richard Lawrence is Senior Managing Director, Mountain West, for Lido Advisors, LLC. Lido is the successor to Colorado Financial Management. Prior to Lido’s acquisition of CFM Lawrence served as President and CEO of the Boulder based financial planning and investment management company for 9 years. Lido Advisors acquired Colorado Financial Management in March 2023.

Before joining CFM, Lawrence worked for seven years at the University of Colorado Foundation where he served in a number of executive roles including President and CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure the Foundation planned and executed a $1.5 billion fundraising campaign, Creating Futures, and enjoyed what were then the five most successful fundraising years in its history.

Prior to his 2006 arrival at the Foundation, Rick worked in banking for more than 25 years at Banc One Corporation and, from 2000 to 2006, Vectra Bank of Colorado where he was Chief Financial Officer and later managed the operation in greater metro Denver.
Lawrence has led or served on many volunteer boards; most recently was a member of the board of directors of TRU (Boulder County Hospice), and Forever Gold (formerly the Directors Club , part of the University of Colorado Alumni Association).

Rick received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Lafayette, Colorado and have two adult children.
