Welcome to the Damrauer Group

The Damrauer group is located in the Department of Chemistry at the .

We are generally interested in controlling photochemical and photophysical transformations with research that cuts broadly across traditional disciplines of physical chemistry, physical inorganic chemistry, and physical organic chemistry. We exploit tools of time-resolved spectroscopies (femtoseconds to miliseconds), synthesis, static electronic spectroscopies, electronic structure theory including applications to rate theories, electrochemistry, and spectroscopies exploiting pulse shapers (both adaptive quantum control and mutidimensional spectroscopies) to uncover how energy and charge flow in complex molecular systems following absorption of light.
