Uday is a postdoctoral fellow who studies bacterial ion channels in phage defense and biological conflict. He hails from Queens, NY and a received a B.S. in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University. He received a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Alabama Birmingham where he studied toxin secretion by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. When not in the lab, he enjoys shredding fresh powder on a snowboard, hiking, movies, and hanging out with his dogs.
