Humanities professor, Paul Gordon is featured in June’s issue of the Coloradan, the alumni magazine for the University of Colorado at Boulder. The article shines the spotlight on Gordon’s ever-popular Hitchcock and Freud class which he taught during the Maymester.
This course applies Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic method of interpreting works of art to Alfred Hitchcock’s films. The class combines film viewings with class presentations and discussions. Students also complete a research project involving the psychoanalytical interpretation of at least one of Hitchcock’s films.
