Kat serves as the director of Health Promotion and the Collegiate Recovery Community. With nearly 15 years of experience working at the intersection of health promotion and higher education, she has held multiple leadership roles at CU Boulder and the University of Oregon. 

Kat has professional expertise in mindfulness, emotional regulation, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug prevention and using collective impact models to support change. She has a passion for creating and implementing evidence-based interventions that help increase students, staff and faculty well-being. 

Kat received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and technical community from Colorado State University and a master’s in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Northern Colorado. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, spending time outdoors whenever possible and dancing. Â
