Mikell is a 4th year PhD candidate in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Studies from Irving, Texas. His scope of academic research聽focuses on聽understanding the effects of climate change on the Galapagos Islands region of the Eastern Equatorial Pacific Ocean. Mikell serves as GPSG's Legislative Assembly Speaker and is an avid cyclist (mountain, road, and gravel).聽
