Research Interests
I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the Institute of Behavioral Science at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ. My research interests lie at the intersection of spatial demography, population health, medical sociology, and the environment and natural resources. The overarching objective of my research is to advance understanding of the environmental, socioeconomic, and structural factors that have created striking geographic disparities in population health in the United States. I use multilevel and spatial analysis to answer my research questions. My work has been published in Population and Environment, Socius: Sociological Research for a Dynamic World, Journal of Rural Health, Journal of Rural Social Science, and Journal of Applied Gerontology and as research briefs at the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion and Population Health.
