Ka Yong Kleiner is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA), supporting the Vice Chancellor and Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. Her work is centered around special projects that enhance faculty support across their career lifecycle. This includes overseeing OFA communications, and collaborating closely with campus partners to promote faculty accomplishments and to ensure that OFA services align with the needs of the faculty and academic units. She brings over a decade of professional experience across various industries including local news media, financial services, e-commerce and higher education.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, Ka Yong graduated from Marquette University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science. She is currently pursuing her master’s in Corporate Communication at CU Boulder. When not working or studying, she enjoys recipe-testing, watching F1 races, reading, and taking long road-trips with her husband Zach and goldendoodle Rainier.
