Fiona is a 1st year PhD student in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering. She received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. After graduation, she spent 5 years at a company that trades in the wholesale electricity markets as a non-asset-owning financial entity. During this time, she gained a strong interest in grid decarbonization and its potential as an achievable near-term pathway for emission reductions. Outside of work, you can find her attempting to become a triathlete, singing, and聽wishing the world was more like the Great British Bake Off.
