Â鶹ÊÓƵ:

Siamak Mirfendereski earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he specialized in fluid mechanics, computational modeling of multi-scale hydrodynamics, electrokinetics, granular and colloidal suspensions, blood flow, and rheology. Before his Ph.D., he earned his M.Sc. from Amirkabir University of Technology and his B.Sc. from Isfahan University of Technology. Currently, his research focuses on colloidal transport, diffusiophoresis, flow instability, active colloids and droplets, and self-assembly, through creating and utilizing both computational and experimental models. Outside the lab, Siamak finds inspiration in playing Flamenco guitar, the thrill of a good run and biking, and the tranquility of mountain trails. He enjoys the simple pleasures of visiting cafés, getting lost in a book, and exploring the world through travel and music.

Research:

Fluid dynamics, Colloidal transport, Complex fluids, Computational modeling.
