Lucas is a senior undergraduate studying biological and chemical engineering. Raised in Boulder, Lucas went to Colorado State University for a year to study ecosystem science and sustainability but decided to return home and join an engineering-based program. Outside of academia Lucas enjoys weightlifting, skiing, fishing, and attending live music. He also enjoys meeting new people and going on new found adventures.

Research:

Lucas is conducting experiments to capture and quantify Diffusiophoretic-induced Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities. He has developed a fluidic imaging device and uses it to analyze fluid properties through a combination of experimental testing and image analysis.
